The Likud party, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, has officially become the winner in the already regular early elections to the Knesset. Likud has secured 32 Knesset seats out of 120, and the same number of seats received Netanyahu’s coalition partners. This means that after 3.5 years of fragile balance between the two camps the period of turbulence in the Israeli politics may be over.
By the way, literally on the eve of the elections, Netanyahu promised to bring good news to Ukraine in case of victory. We will soon find out what it will be — the current Prime Minister Yair Lapid has already congratulated Bibi (Netanyahu’s nickname in Israel) on his convincing victory and wished him success in forming a new cabinet.
