KoBold Metals, a start-up for the exploration of minerals using AI, has attracted the attention of several top investors at once
The active growth of the electric vehicle market has generated an increased demand for metals that are widely used in the production of electric vehicles. The demand for lithium, nickel, cobalt and copper will be only increasing over time.
Therefore, KoBold Metals, a start-up for the exploration of minerals using artificial intelligence, has attracted the attention of several top investors at once. Breakthrough Energy Ventures, a Climate and Technology Fund of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos and Michael Bloomberg, the prominent Silicon Valley Venture Capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, a Norwegian state-owned energy company Equinor and one of the largest mining companies in the world BHP have already partnered with KoBold.
Using artificial intelligence KoBold will begin its first search for metals in Australia. In the future, exploration is planned to be carried out also in Greenland. If successful, the resulting conglomerate could take a leading position in the emerging market for materials for electric vehicles.
