Israel is considering allowing third countries to supply some Israeli-made systems to Ukraine
The new government of Israel has seriously started reviewing the policy regarding the Russia-Ukraine war and the nature of assistance to Ukraine.
According to Axios, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu gave instructions to update Israel’s stance shortly after taking office. Currently the National Security Council, the ministries of defense and foreign affairs, as well as the Mossad are involved in this process.
Direct arms deliveries still remain out of discussion, but they are not ruled out any more. According to Netanyahu himself, he even considers providing Ukraine with the Iron Dome missile defense system. However, as a more likely option, the Israeli military-political establishment is considering allowing third countries to supply some Israeli-made systems.
This has already been indirectly confirmed. Just the other day, Lithuania announced a fundraiser for the purchase of five Israeli air defense radars for Ukraine.
